What we collect
We collect only what a session needs:
Your name, email, and chosen role
When you sign up, you provide your name, email, and whether you are joining as a mentee or mentor. These details identify your account.
Your profile
What you add yourself: areas, a short bio, your goal, a general location, and an optional photo. You decide what to include.
LinkedIn account confirmation (mentors)
We store only the confirmed account reference. We never receive or store your LinkedIn password or token.
Bookings, ratings, and reviews
The sessions you request or give, and the feedback you leave, so the service works and stays accountable.
Video session records
The live call runs on Amazon Chime. We record who joined and for how long, to confirm a session took place. The platform does not record the audio or video of your call.
Sign-in and security records
Each active sign-in stores your device type, IP address, and last-active time, so you can review and end your sessions.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make TEEI Mentorship work, each bound to protect it and use it only on our instructions. The complete list and safeguards are in our full privacy policy.

Organisation partner links
If you join through an organisation’s partner link, TEEI may show that organisation information about your participation only when you choose to share it. This can include your name, programme, signup, booking or session milestone, and completed-session count. You can stop sharing at any time in Settings.
How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as it is useful for the service:
Sign-in links
60 minutes, then they expire.
Signed-in sessions
30 days, or until you sign out. A maximum of 3 devices at once.
Your account and profile
Until you delete your account.
Your rights
You are in control of your data. Most of it is yours to change directly, in Settings.
See and correct your data
Your profile and account details are editable at any time.
Change your email
A verified email change keeps your account yours.
Choose what we send you
Turn each type of notification on or off.
Delete your account
Remove your TEEI Mentorship account, or your full TEEI account, whenever you want. It cannot be undone.
Get a copy, or object
For a copy of your data, to restrict or object to processing, or to make a complaint, see our full privacy policy.
Withdrawing consent or asking us to stop does not affect anything we did beforehand, and you will never be penalised for exercising a right.
Cookies and sign-in
We use essential storage to sign you in and remember your choices. Google measurement storage is enabled only if you accept it.

An essential cookie that keeps you signed in across TEEI apps.
Sign-up verification
A short-lived cookie used only while a mentor is signing up and confirming their LinkedIn account.
Theme and language
Stored in your browser to remember your display choices.
Google Ads measurement
Your choice is stored in this browser. Google receives full measurement signals only if you accept.
Product analytics
We use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how TEEI Mentorship is used. This tells us which parts of the service are helpful and where people get stuck. We do not use it for advertising, and we never sell your data.
This runs on every page, including before you sign in, and it is separate from the advertising choice you were offered: accepting or declining that one does not turn this off. PostHog sets one cookie of its own so it can recognise the same browser from page to page. If you would rather it did not, turn on "Do Not Track" in your browser, which we honour, or ask us and we will stop.
What it collects
Usage events (such as opening a page or starting a booking), the pages you visit, and your device and browser type. Not your IP address: it is switched off at the source, so no location is derived from it. We keep this to what we need to understand and improve the service.
How to object or opt out
You can ask us to stop at any time by contacting us, and we honour your browser’s "Do Not Track" setting. Our full privacy policy explains how to make a request.
Google Ads conversion measurement
The Google Ads tag always loads with consent denied. If you accept, Google may use cookies and related signals to measure how people find TEEI Mentorship. If you decline, consent stays denied and Google receives only cookieless Consent Mode pings.
Who can use TEEI Mentorship
TEEI Mentorship is a service for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account and take part.
Live captions
You can turn on live captions during a video session. Captions are always off by default: turning them on needs your permission and the other person’s permission, every time. Captions are not saved and disappear when the call ends. Only the person who booked the session can choose Save transcript. If they do, the transcript is stored on that account and is deleted when the account is deleted.
